The Most Popular Wedding Dates for 2025, According to Industry Experts

Before you send out your “save-the-dates” by mail or tell your wedding party their upcoming duties, there is a task between you and your partner that must be completed early in this long process: choosing the date.

You should also take into account family matters, travel plans and work schedules at other times of year when you might want to marry.

However, before you determine the date to tie the knot, it may help to find out what is currently popping up as one of next year's favorite wedding dates because these could stand in your way of getting that dream venue and vendors for any ceremony.

If you are considering getting married in the prime wedding months from April to October, beware that many Saturdays and Sundays during that time are usually in high demand. However, some dates are just more famous than others. Traditionally, couples avoid scheduling their nuptials too close to major family holidays, such as Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Yet nowadays, many are taking advantage of three-day summer weekends to add further space onto their festivities, including those that embrace Memorial Day or Labor Day; three day weekends are more in vogue in 2025, as well.

For those interested in metaphysics, there are romantic tomes composed entirely around this topic of taking celestial effects into consideration. “When you select a date with this kind of meaning, your wedding day becomes not just special but cosmically significant,” says Anna Reynolds, principal planner and designer at Stellar Events in Cape Town.

Here, wedding planners and a professional astrologer identify the most popular wedding dates of 2025 and the ones to steer clear of.

The Most Popular Wedding Dates For 2025

From important astrological events to long weekends, a variety of factors produce the most common wedding dates for the new year. Here, industry experts provide some insight into the forces behind these popular choices.

Dates Around Beautiful Weather “It ’s seasonal or symbolic, but sometimes there ’s this hidden force,” says Olivia Hartman, the founder of Hartman Celebrations. Unsurprisingly, many of these dates are in the months when it is warm. Couples are especially keen on June 14 this year –a date Hartman says is perfect for “Those who want to get married before the summer heat peaks, blending in flowers when they bloom with comfortable temperatures and a scenic backdrop.” A week later, on June 21, is also a highly requested date because it is the summer solstice. "The longest day of the year is a magical backdrop for your wedding just as much as there inherently air marriages over solstices,” Hartman adds excitedly. Late September will also be a popular time for 2025 weddings. “September 20 lets couples get into that early fall groove, avoiding the stultifying summer days while still being before things become chilly at end of season,” Reynolds says. Hartman points out that September 27th which is the coming Saturday also tends to be a popular choice. Popular Dates in Numerology Numerology-the mystical art of relating numbers and life events-not only gives couples a way to incorporate positive energy and intent into their wedding days but also offers opportunities for the individualistic expression of themselves and their relationship s. “In 2025, the year embodies the vibrational energy of nine,” meaning fulfillment, unity and completion of cycles ideal for a new beginning in marriage,” Reynolds explains. She notes that among the most popular dates on 4/5/25 (a Saturday) and 8/8/2025 (a Friday). The first date `s ascending number sequence represents growth, while the latter focuses on numbers 8 & 6, which together symbolize prosperity with (and its result) abundance.

Couples often favor dates with repeating digits because it makes a symmetrical and well-balanced date display. Couples usually choose either 5/25/25 or 1/25/25 (both Saturdays). '25 is seen as a number of wisdom and spirituality, so if you have two instances of it for your wedding anniversary that adds even more meaning--especially when it is paired alongside 1 which stands for fresh beginnings and opportunities,' says Daniel Cross, the owner and main event planner at Harmony Events.

Presently other notable dates include 3/3/25, with the number three for joy and of creativity-symbolizing vitality and fecundity, as Hartman points out, and 11/11/25--a date shown by its name to symbolise synchronisation or alignment.  Long Weekend Respites This makes it easier for your guests: With a long weekend, they can celebrate two, maybe three events like the welcome party and rehearsal dinner on their own time but still right before departure on Sunday morning instead since the Monday is free to relax. "A long weekend is perfect for weddings," Cross comments. And in 2025, three-day weekends are still acceptable choices. Memorial Day weekend often is a popular choice, but according to Reynolds, Labor Day weekend is even more sought. "With late summer weather, you can expect warm, bright days followed by cool evenings which make it ideal for an outdoor ceremony and awaits reception under tent or sky," she explains. Also, as couples embrace the party spirit of late summer everyone comes together in these seasonal gatherings celebrating across one absolute 5 of parties.

Popular wedding Dates in Astrology

Couples interested in astrology, for example, may choose a day that aligns their and the stars' rhythms. June 10, 2025, a time when Jupiter was in Cancer is ideal. “In the year that Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, growth and wealth thrives in Cancer, which rules home and family,” said Marcus Lane, an astrologer. “This unique and auspicious period promises once in a lifetime happiness with each partner complementing the other for harmony and success.” There are also certain helpful periods of time in the spring and fall, when the stars are in exalted positions, that make this particular part to get married. From April 6 to June 2 "Venus, ruler of love and marriage, was in her home sign of Taurus," Lane says emphasizing stability and romance. “While it is in its home sign Libra from October 13-November 5 Venus also produces balance, harmony and beauty."

Wedding Dates for 2025 to Steer Clear Of

There are some dates that, however, experts advise you steer well clear of in 2025. Friday the 13th is a date many couples regardless of what year they have chosen to tie the knot will shun because of its long-established associations with bad luck. And October 31 is another date lots of couples tend to prefer keeping off their schedule, unless, of course, they go for a gothic-looking wedding that is.

Lane also dodges astrological clashes. `` Mercury retrograde happens three or four times a year!'' he explains. He also points out that, in order to avoid unnecessary complications, it’s a good idea not to schedule weddings between the dates from March 15 to April 7, July 18 to August 11 and November 9 through November 29. Partners should also note that Venus retrogrades while from March 2 to April 12. "Venus rules love, relationships and harmony. So it is best to stay out of this time," Lane said. "It comes every 18 mons and will bring an emotional or practical review to relationships—including marriage choices. Therefore you should not marry then." Finally, on March 25 and December 31 the eclipses of 2025 are seen as the harbinger of chaotic energy. “Eclipses can precipitate sudden changes, so these dates should not be used for weddings and other important events to ensure a smooth happy celebration," Cross says.
