How Plan a Wedding as an Aries, According to Astrologers

As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries is a natural pioneer. This fire sign is spirited, fiery, and confident; never shy to make the first move. In love, Aries play for keeps — and once they find that special someone who shares their desire for both passion and intimacy, nothing can stop them from taking on married life with the same intensity.

“Aries are ruled by Mars, the planet of action and drive, so they typically like to take the lead when they are organizing something fun,” says astrologer Max Donovan. “They tend to be very, very forward moving and bold, and with them, the courtship process can happen in a hurry, and all of a sudden, the wedding bells can be ringing before you know it.”

Whether it’s a grand gesture of a proposal or a random elopement, Aries likes to be spontaneous. Donovan adds, “They aren’t afraid to go with a feeling, so they are more likely than most signs to embrace whirlwind romances and unorthodox ceremonies.”

Wedding Cake

Aries will want something vibrant and unusual when it comes to cake. “This sign isn’t afraid of a leap,” Wilde says. “A tinted cake with a wanton swish of frosting and unusual flavors, like with cardamom or spiced chocolate, would just feel right.” Trendy and forward-thinking, Aries will want their cake to leave a sight and taste impression.

Wedding Food & Drink

An Aries wants a thrilling environment - and that extends to what they eat. Look for the party to go full throttle with high-octane cocktails and crowd-pleasing menus. “A good espresso martini is quite literally Aries in a glass: invigorating and bold,” says astrologer Lyra Wilde. For dinner, Aries may want to gravitate toward timeless offerings, such as roasted chicken with seasonal vegetables, no-frills classics, but packed with flavor. As the night continues, you can plan on enjoyable late-night snacks — sliders, fries or maybe even a taco station — for everyone to refuel.

Wedding Planning Style

Very assertive by nature, Aries often takes charge of the wedding planning. “Even if they hire a planner, it’ll be obvious who’s calling the shots,” says astrologer Isla Moore of Celestia & Co. Aries will enter the process with strong opinions and a full throttle V-8 engine—and while this might cause some friction, their decisive nature tends to speed decision-making along. “They are all about passion and activity, and you may even want to involve actual fire,” says Moore, “whether through a fire dancer, sparklers or pyrotechnics.”

Ideal Wedding Season

While Aries can get married at any time of year, there are certain astrological sweet spots that work best with their momentum. For a wedding coinciding with their solar return Donovan suggests Aries season (March 21–April 19). Other fantastic times for it are Leo season (July 23–August 22) and Libra season (September 23–October 22), when the cosmic vibes are chiller than a jorim (a Korean boiling and simmering cooking method). With a Leo full moon, Aries people might schedule a date that’s full of drama and romance.

Wedding Venue

An Aries wedding should have an electric feel, so the following venues and their bold energy are perfect. Think destination resorts with epic views, architecturally compelling city rooftops or colorful tents bursting with light and color. “It needs to feel alive in the space,” Donovan says. “Mood lighting and clever staging can instantly make any site feel like a high-impact world that Aries will love.”

Wedding Décor

No pastels here. Aries is attracted to strong, vibrant color scheme. “Bordeaux and pumpkin and metallic accents,” Wilde says. Their décor will be bold and creative, featuring bold flower arrangements, modern lighting, and interactive accents. To end the night? On that theme, fireworks display or a grand sparkler exit is right on theme.

Wedding Fashion

Aries: There will be daring fashion choices in your future. Whether it’s a sexy jumpsuit, a curve-hugging dress with edgy details, or a bold power suit, this sign knows how to stand out. “Aries doesn’t adhere to tradition — it creates it,” Wilde adds. “They are going to prioritize both comfort and impact.” Whether they go minimalist, or edgy, the keyword will be confident.

Honeymoon Ideas

After the wedding, Aries will be ready to leap straight into something epic. “Those red rocks in the Southwest or a high-altitude getaway like the Wildridge Range are ideal,” says Wilde. “Hiking, climbing and stargazing speak to Aries’ adventurous soul.” An adrenaline-packed adventure, firelight and even a bit of wilderness magic is a good start to an Aries love story.

And if you’re getting married and just so happen to be an Aries, let your bold streak shine. Enjoy the adrenaline. Do the fresh thing. And, always remember—when you’re authentic with your wild side, the party won’t ever be forgotten.
